Cobb County, located in north
metro Atlanta, contains two school systems - the Cobb County School District (the second-largest school system in Georgia
serving a diverse population of more than 106,000 students in 110 schools) and the Marietta City School System. There
are also a number of private schools in Cobb County.
The Cobb Swim Coaches Association
is comprised of the head swim coaches of all high schools in the Cobb County system, the Marietta City system, and those
private schools with swim teams.
The purpose of the Cobb Swim
Coaches Association is to enhance the visibility of the Cobb County swimming and diving programs and the student-athletes
in those programs.
Cobb County continues as one of the
most dominant swimming and diving programs in the state of Georgia. At the 2008 State Championships, Cobb
County swimmers & divers achieved the following:
